A response to “An American Jewish student’s portrait of Syria”

A few days ago, I posted some excerpts from a student’s Syrian experiences.  I received a comment on the post contesting the accuracy of some of the information, including the Nazi salutes and presence of the Palestinian flag (which the commenter says is actually the flag of the Arab revolt against the Turks in World War I.

You can find the post and comments here.  I wanted to draw attention to the comment since I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the student’s report (although of course I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the comment, either).
